About this property
Adding an original, refined addition to the London chapter, NoMad London takes residence inside the historic, grade II-listed building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station. Many notable guests have been trialled within these walls, such as Oscar Wilde, The Suffragettes, Dame Vivienne Westwood and the Kray Brothers.
Located directly opposite the famed Royal Opera House in the heart of Covent Garden, the iconic building has transformed into a 91-room, elegant hotel with much of the original architectural features preserved and woven into the design. A collaboration with New York-based interior design studio Roman and Williams, the transformation of the storied 19th century building draws inspiration from its history and location in Covent Garden, as well as exploring the artistic and cultural connection between London and New York. Nestled opposite one of the world’s greatest opera companies, much of the hotel’s interiors as well as its expertly curated arts programme was inspired by, and give nod to, this wonderful proximity.
